We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The ideal candidate will align HR strategies with our sustainability-driven mission and support our growing team of engineers, scientists, operations staff, and corporate professionals.
 
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and values.
Support workforce planning and talent acquisition initiatives for technical, operational, and support roles.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes.
Develop programs to attract, retain, and develop top talent in renewable energy and bio-tech sectors.
Employee Relations & Culture
Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven workplace culture.
Address employee grievances and mediate workplace issues with professionalism and fairness.
Training & Development
Implement and manage training initiatives to enhance skills and leadership development, especially in areas such as safety, compliance, and sustainability.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and industry regulations (OSHA, EEOC, etc.).
Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and safety protocols.
Performance Management
Oversee the performance review process and guide managers in employee evaluations and career development planning.
Compensation & Benefits
Administer competitive compensation and benefits programs aligned with industry benchmarks and sustainability best practices.
HR Metrics & Reporting
Monitor key HR metrics and prepare reports for leadership to drive data-informed decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or HR certification a plus).
5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, energy, or technology environments.
Knowledge of HR systems (HRIS), labor law, and talent development best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work across departments and with diverse teams.
Passion for sustainability and interest in renewable energy industries.
Preferred
Experience in bio-energy, clean tech, or industrial operations environments.
Familiarity with environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and initiatives.
