A Benefits Specialist is responsible for accurately and completely administering benefit programs; ensures compliance with government regulations; communicates plan benefit requirements. A Benefits Specialist is responsible for accurately and completely administering benefit programs; ensures compliance with government regulations; communicates plan benefit requirements. This individual also handles all inquiries & transactions relating to Company Benefits & Government Mandated Benefits. The Specialist ensures that employees receive the proper benefits package according to policy, follows up with suppliers and government agencies as necessary. Job Responsibilities may include any and/or all of the following: Acts as the main point of contact of the company's benefit plans (company initiated and government mandated) for employee inquiries and issues. Enrolls eligible individuals in the various Benefit programs. Maintains files and records of individual employee benefits. Assists employees in filling out the paperwork for their benefits packages. Leads informational sessions on company benefits. Acts as liaison between employee and supplier or gov't agency as necessary. Serve as principal contact for Vendors and Government Agencies. Prepares remittances for vendors and government agencies, completes applicable spreadsheets; reconciles records to ensure accuracy of data and payment sent to vendors. Makes benefit change recommendations. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS College Graduate with a degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent program Preferred Industry: BPO (Human Resources) At least a year of experience in HR Benefits
