About the Role:
In the role you will be the sole developer responsible for creating a software to monitor large data sets currently being received in excel format. In the initial part of the project you will be focused on:
Creating a data warehouse to store excel datasets in different formats
Create software to automate the data upload and calculation/ manipulating processes
Job Responsibilities:
Develop software to automate the upload process of excel and other data to a SQL data warehouse
Build and maintain a data warehouse hosted on AWS or a similar platform
Create scripts to automate the data analysis & calculation process based on the data stored in SQL
Output the data into various formats including excel and visual representations to drive business insight
Collaborates closely with local and international team members to help translate functional documentation into technical requirements and specifications
Performs software development based on a functional requirement document
Creates and maintains code and application libraries, instructions and technical documentation
Creates and tests sample code
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent
With 4 years' experience in software development with a focus on the programming languages below
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle
Good level of knowledge and experience with Python, SQL & AWS; Any of the following programming languages are a plus (Tableau, MySql, Javascript)
Ability to setup and maintain database infrastructure in AWS
Strong analytical ability & implementation skills
Experience in data mining, wrangling, cleaning and visualization
Excellent oral and written communication skills with good corporate presentation skills
Comfort in a complex data environment and understanding of data captures
