Main Activities and Responsibilities
Indirect tax -Accountable for the delivery and accuracy of all inputs required to compute Indirect Tax obligations and associated filings;
Provide support for associated indirect tax queries;
Guide the business on applicable indirect tax rates, based on the nature of charges;
WHT Reporting and filing- Accountable for the delivery and accuracy of all inputs required for external advisor to compute withholding tax filings;
Guide the business on applicable withholding tax rates and principles;
Managing ad-hoc withholding tax queries;
IGCS - Owns the quarterly compliance confirmation process through "IGCS" tool, ensuring completeness of filings; Follow up on overdue or outstanding filings within Elsevier; Respond to any queries from RELX tax;
R&D, statistical reporting - In coordination with the statutory compliance team, ensures the completeness of local statistical reports including R&D surveys in various reporting jurisdictions; Responds to any queries from RELX tax, tax authorities
