Role Overview:
Thomson Reuters Manila is seeking a dynamic and creative individual who has a combination of strong skills in program/project management, corporate communications and public relations with business and technology acumen for the position of Program Specialist - Strategy and Special Projects.
The role primarily involves providing operational and strategic support in managing key strategies rolled out to the site. S/he will work closely with the local leadership team and the different business units in Manila to develop, execute and monitor site-wide initiatives and business programs. Likewise, this position will serve as a technical resource to support internal communications, enterprise messaging and branding for Thomson Reuters Manila.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Site Management team and shall report directly to the Site Officer. This role will coordinate and link up to the different support teams (i.e. Facilities, Technology, HR and Compliance) to manage resources and ensure effective delivery of onsite services.
About the Role:
As a Global Program Specialist, you will oversee the formulation and implementation of the Manila Site Strategies to uphold the Manila Value Proposition. You will also be in charge of:
Actively leading all phases of the programs identified under each focus area including scope, schedule, and budget
Collaborating and partnering with different working groups to review and align initiatives supporting these strategies
Documenting Minutes of Meetings, progress of action plans and reporting accomplishments relevant to site plans
Providing Administrative Support to Manila Leads
Assists on BCP Related Activities of the site
Leads and/or collaborates with global and shared services team in the creation and or development of change and communications plans; engagement and communication execution plans, in an environment of continual change.​
Lead internal communications through content management, design, and distribution
Managing employee newsletters, The Hub (intranet), and Manila TVs
Conceptualization of proposition materials and implementing campaigns for current and new opportunities pursued by the site and the businesses
Primary contact and champion of Thomson Reuters branding guidelines for marketing collaterals of the site
Design, organize and support site events and activities covering, but not limited to, employee engagement, stakeholder visits, customer engagement, industry relations, and employer branding
Key point of contact for identifying and recommending opportunities to enhance public reputation and relation of the site (i.e. pursuing award bids, liaising with industry partners, representing Thomson Reuters Manila to external organizations)
Support in sourcing requisition and negotiating with suppliers, as needed
About You:
You are qualified for the role if you have:
Bachelor's degree required
Experience in program management with demonstrated skills in executing strategies and implementing projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to adapt messages to different audiences
Strategic thinker who understands organizational issues and challenges (global and local)
Proactive to identify challenges and able to propose creative solutions
Confident self-starter and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while keeping focused, objective, and effective
Strong attention to detail and thorough work-style
Professional versatility, with demonstrated willingness to look for new ways of communicating outside the traditional model, including being abreast of emerging industry trends in human behavior and motivation; pushes the organization to operate differently.​
Proficient in graphic design and video editing
Certification in events management, change management, and public relations is preferred
Working knowledge of Poppulo, Jive, or related intranet social collaboration tools is highly desirable
Excellent skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)
