This is for a direct hire and permanent position.
Job Summary
The General Ledger and Tax Accountant will be responsible for all areas of monthly financial reporting and statutory tax compliance of the company and affiliates for both local and APAC.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and timely month, quarterly and year-end closing of all books per company per country
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation using existing XERO accounting software
Prepapre monthly Management Reporting including the pertinent schedules per company per country
Handle interim and year-end audit with external and statutory auditors and ensure compliance that will drive to zero audit issues
Maintain accurate and complete financial records in manual form and electronic form in XERO and BSCW
Manage and serve as central point of contact of Outsourced Accountant to Share Service Organization (SSO)
Attend concerns and inquiries of Outsourced Accountants
Ensure timely payment of tax and monthly, quarterly, and yearly filing and submission of tax return and reports including all other statutory tax requirements
Ensure accurate and complete tax records in manual form and electronic form in XERO and BSCW
Prepare bank opening and updates for new and existing bank accounts
Prepare online banking registration and update
Other functions as assigned
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least 3 years of work experience in Finance & Accounting roles handling Asia Pacific accounts, from a BPO or Shared Services industry
With knowledge of ERP systems, preferable XERO accounting software
Knowledgeable in technical accounting, audit, and tax
Amenable to work on a dayshift schedule in BGC (Will be required to report onsite from time to time)
