Position: General Ledger Accountant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
Record journal entries for financial transactions.
Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts.
Month-end and Year-end Closing:
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare and review financial statements.
Financial Reporting:
Contribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reports.
Assist in the analysis of financial data for accuracy and completeness.
Audit Support:
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures.
Implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a General Ledger Accountant or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a plus.
Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
