Job Description
Evident is currently seeking an outstanding Senior General Ledger Accountant to help build an exceptional accounting team in Manila. Someone to take an important role in developing and spearheading the outsourcing services of major Finance and Accounting functions in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Responsibilities
Manages full cycle accounting
Accurately records, monitors and reconciles intercompany transactions and accounts
Manages daily AR postings and monitor and manage different currencies
Ensures customer invoices are reconciled to accounts receivable statements
Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly
Maintain accounting and tax filing systems
Owns accurate and up to date bank reconciliations
Drives opportunities for process improvements and automations
Owns production of accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements
Participates in annual audit exercises from preparation to close
Prepares and remits local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for all countries
Assists with cash flow forecasting
Mitigates financial risk by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all accounting, financial reporting under GAAP/IFRS
Complete month-end close, account reconciliations for all balance sheets accounts, journal entries for: sales, accruals, pre-paids, depreciation, reversals, intercompany
Ensure all foreign currency transactions are accounted for correctly
Qualifications
Role requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA Designation is required
3-5 years experience as an Accounting Lead or Senior General Accountant with proven proficiency leading the day-to-day accounting activities
Strong knowledge and previous experience applying US, Canadian, Philippines Gaap and IFRS
Knowledge of consolidations and foreign currency transactions
Expert knowledge of Quick Books, Excel required
Experience handling and dealing with PEZA preferred
Solid oral and written communication skills in English
Critical thinking and leadership skills are absolutely required
