Job Description:
As a Fund Accounting Specialist, you'll be responsible for delivering fund service trade operations, processing and validating trades, resolving inquiries, and serving as the contact for escalations.
Responsibilities:
Process and validate trades and investigate/resolve trade-related breaks in accordance with the established work practices and procedures
Work with various internal teams such as trade processing, pre-matching, settlements, cash processing, account opening, and asset servicing to process transactions and resolve any exceptions in a timely manner
Respond to and resolve client inquiries in a timely manner
Strong understanding of Risk Management with ability to manage issues and exceptions above materiality thresholds for resolution
Ensure all day-to-day queries are handled within required timelines and escalate issues as necessary
Attend and drive internal onshore partner meetings, usually via conference call, to ensure needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded; ensure resolution of follow up items
Active involvement in projects within the team
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Subject matter expertise in Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Collateral, and Derivatives or strong financial markets product knowledge
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls
Self-starter and ability to learn quickly
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate strategic messages clearly and consistently with the team, making linkages to individual goals and accomplishments
Strong relationship management and partnership with a large array of constituents; ability to manage by influence to promote change
Leadership with proven ability to manage by influence to promote change
Proactive in identifying and escalating issues
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred
