FROZEN SEAFOOD PRODUCTION MANAGER
 
Immediate Superior: Executive Vice-President
 
Area of Assignment: Frozen Seafood Department
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Deep knowledge of frozen seafood manufacturing processes.
Well versed on HACCP and GHP program implementation
Knowledge in FSSC 22000, and BRC Certification, a plus
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
Willing to work in Cebu
Results-oriented and has the leadership ability to guide associates towards goal achievement
Has the ability to plan, implement, sustain, and improve Food Safety & Quality programs
SKILLS:
With high enthusiasm and good technical abilities.
Must have leadership skills
Should have the ability to work well under pressure.
Must have the motivation to work extra hours when necessary.
Must have good interpersonal skills and can work harmoniously with others.
Should be respectful, trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the execution of production schedule
Directs plant safety and sanitation programs as established by corporate policy.
Controls product quality, cost of production, receiving, shipping and sanitation through appropriate subordinates.
Reviews and approves recommendations of subordinates in personnel matters to hire, transfer, promote, terminate, approve rate change and grant leave of absence. Submits for upper management approval according to company policy.
Confers with department heads on the application of methods and production standards and adherence to establish production procedures. Recommends changes and modifications in equipment to improve quality and efficiency or customer service. Assist and participates with upper management in new product development.
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
Monitor production to resolve any issues
Participates in collective bargaining grievance procedure and in contract negotiations
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
Ensure output meets quality standards
Enforce health and safety precautions
Maintains and monitors reports and procedures of production activity, accurately and on a timely basis.
Constantly inspects operation to established production, sanitation and safety standards. Monitors preventive maintenance program. Takes appropriate corrective action as needed.
