The Fraud Analyst plays a critical role in protecting and its customers from fraud through effective dispute handling, data analysis, and identifying insights through reporting. You will be able to defend from fraudsters, first-party fraud threats and bank-initiated service disputes, while ensuring proper processes and infrastructure are optimised to prevent such instances. As a key member of the IT Payment Solutions Team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders from Loss Prevention, Finance, eCommerce and external vendors.
Monitor and respond to fraud and service disputes using multiple vendor supplied platforms.
Compile briefs of evidence to support investigations and/or management actions.
Monitor gift card purchasing volumes, patterns and behaviours.
Provide insights on fraud and shopper behavioural trends.
Develop a thorough understanding of existing tools and processes.
Suggest optimisations of infrastructure and business rules to minimise fraud volumes.
Influence, advise, guide, and support senior business stakeholders on operational risk in order to continue to improve standards and make informed decisions.
Contribute to continual improvements within the Customer Service team to optimise service chargeback volumes.
Proactively produce and communicate reporting on fraudulent issues and insights across the business.
Dissect data and anticipate fraud trends, providing recommendations to the wider business.
Utilise internal and vendor fraud tools for optimise loss prevention.
Executive, loss prevention, ePharmacy and Customer Service reporting on
Fraud rates
Dispute rates
Disputes won/lost
Revenue saved via disputes
Requirements
At least 3 year experience in a Fraud prevention or Payment Analyst
Ability to investigate allegations of fraud, disputes.
An ability to influence, advise, guide, and support senior business stakeholders on operational risk so that can continue to improve standards and make informed decisions.
A curious and analytical mindset with superior investigative skills.
Thorough attention to detail and ability to think critically.
Be able to demonstrate experience in data mining and analysis.
Outstanding relationship building and stakeholder management capability with the influencing skills to match.
Understanding of commercial finance and risk management.
Preferably experience working in a fast-paced retail environment with a vast stores network.
