Job Description
We are looking for Financial Reporting Accounting Analyst to support our Controllership team in the successful delivery of legal entity Controllership responsibilities across several business and service lines. This full-time role will enable an individual to understand the process and risk across a global firm and provide exposure to senior leaders, controllers, and other key stakeholders globally. The successful candidate will be primarily tasked with the preparation of key EMEA balance sheet account reconciliations and assisting with the preparation, execution, and filing requirements of statutory financial statements across our EMEA entities, having a keen eye for detail and a desire to improve processes is critical to the success of the role.
Core responsibilities:
· Preparation of key EMEA balance sheet account reconciliations, partnering with EMEA country controllers, finance, and business colleagues.
· Supporting the controllers in internal and external financial reporting activities and maintaining financial control and integrity in line with EMEA Controllership objectives.
· Assisting with the preparation and integrity of US GAAP to local GaaP trial balance conversion, suitable for key decision support for local audit and compliance requirements.
· Partnering with key business teams across EMEA as required to build key contextual knowledge for local entities being supported.
· Working with EMEA and Global finance teams, assist with the presentation and disclosure of financial information prepared for statutory financial statement (SFS) filings.
· Supporting International Treasury and the UK Business on treasury-related requests (e.g. FX, cash flow reporting, loan & interest settlement, and related reconciliations).
· Operating with a continuous improvement mindset to minimize the cost of SFS production, and leverage best practices to standardize across the EMEA region.
· Reconciliation of key corporate tax and VAT accounts.
· Support KPMG and local audit needs for both group audits, local statutory audits, and general audit inquiries.
· Support Legal entity rationalization projects as required.
· Support process queries with a resolution mindset as well as ad-hoc project support activities commensurate with the role.
Qualifications, Skills, knowledge & experience:
· 2 - 3 years experience in Big 4 Accounting firms or industry equivalent.
· Highly motivated with an ability to take ownership and strong attention to detail.
· Reliable and proactive team player focused on delivering exceptional service.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Adaptable and energetic, with the ability to work as part of a team, as well as under their own initiative
· A good understanding of Workday, Hyperion Essbase & HFM is highly desirable.
· Fluent in English, other languages are desirable but not essential.
· Experience working in an outsourced Finance environment would be an advantage
