The RWA Retail Reporting and Analytics Team performs a number of activities to support Basel and Citi Regulatory Reporting requirements. RWA Recon Analyst will be responsible for providing reconciliation, reporting and analytical support for Retail products. This position requires an individual who can take the lead in performing monthly reconciliations involving large volumes of complex data, investigating the root causes of issues utilizing a broad range of resources and systems, and be proactive in communicating and resolving/escalating issues with our key business contacts. The analyst will be responsible for managing all the reporting and analytical support for their assigned business/region including understanding the impact of new reporting requirements. This position requires an individual who can work within tight deadlines and multi task.
The RWA Recon Analyst will perform reconciliation, reporting, data quality enhancement, and analysis. The incumbent must:
Responsibilities:
Quickly comprehend the end to end global landscape and BAU process including system and process flow.
Reconcile large volume of complex data under tight timelines while ensuring adherence to process, quality, and control standards.
Perform root cause analysis and explain drivers of reconciliation differences, data quality issues, and variance analysis to key customers.
Convey, organize, package and deliver ideas to management.
Build partnerships with key stakeholders from multiple work areas by engendering trust; bring diverse perspective together to address issues.
Engage key stakeholders to explain reasons for variances/data quality issues, drive stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions.
Resolve and drive resolution of complex issues.
Recommend process re-engineering and implement where accountable.
Assess effectiveness of controls, communicate gaps to management, and enhance where required.
Develop strong knowledge of businesses/products and underlying detailed data.
Deliver requirements under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
With at least 1 - 2 years working experience
Retail banking products experience or exposure is an advantage
Ability to multi-task and deliver quality output under strict
Technical skills (MS Excel, MS Access, VBA, SQL) will be an advantage
Exposure to global processes and teamwork across various locations and cultures
Good communication skills given exposure / interaction with business leads
Detail-oriented analytical skills
Data Warehouse / Modeling related skills is an advantage
Exposure to Citi proprietary Finance/Risk warehouses, credit engines and/or banking systems is an advantage
Willingness to work flexible hours
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience required
