Department Overview
​The Finance and Accounting team within Shared Services department handles the financial and management accounting for EGS. The team measures financial performance, supports financial planning and budgeting, leads cost management initiatives, and provides commercial guidance.
About the Role
Responsible for performing simple to complex accounting activities.
Responsibilities:
Assists in research of financial, operating and/or economic data and analyzes/interprets and reports findings
Works with business partners to collect internal financial data, analyzes, tests for accuracy, identifies and resolves problems
Performs basic variance and trend analyses
Supports operational aspects of work that may include maintaining ledger accounts to ensure accurate maintenance of financial data in various tools/systems
Prepares data and assists in analysis on product line/operational/strategic plans
Understands compliance and risks management requirements for supported area
May participate in projects and must work under moderate supervision
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy.
Candidate MUST be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
1+ years of experience in one or combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
Ability to provide strong customer relations skills and work in a large team environment with a high sense of urgency
Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demand
