ENGINEER III (Sr. Computerized Maintenance Management System Engineer )
 
Job Summary:
 
The Mgr, Engineering or CMMS System Engineer is responsible for executing the outlined activities by providing guidance, leadership, mentorship, and direction to the individual site Facilities, Quality, and Engineering personnel in their attempts to setup, implement and manage their Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role will also provide CMMS site Governance to ensure efficient operation of all production and facility systems while tracking and reporting all activities to ensure a budget friendly operation strategy.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive and support new CMMS enrollment by sites not yet added to the CMMS.
Drive and support improving all phases of the initial CMMS system for sites partially setup or working to improve their initial setup.
Provide CMMS audits to drive site by site continuous improvement to ensure optimal system operation and tracking.
Drive new system integration with CMMS (SAP, MES etc) to move the companies operational strategy into the future via Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Factory Automation Systems, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Product Line Controllers (PLC), and similar.
Conduct trainings, and Provide technical support to all sites for their usage in the CMMS.
Manage CMMS system licenses and renewals from year to year, and coordinate with the CMMS provider for training, support and annual renewals.
Engage and drive Information Technology and/or System Integrator (SI) during implementation and support of operations systems including integration to other core systems, including Manage timeline planning, risk management, internal stake holders and external vendor technical deliverables alignment
Architecting, implementing, and integrating solutions focused around tracking, analyzing, and improving the manufacturing process
Design and implement data management and reporting strategies with other functional teams for the integration of solutions
Drive operations teams including SMEs and Engineering to do system configuration, programming, debugging, and testing where applicable.
Creating documentation, including project engineering notes, project proposals, project design traceability documentation, training, case studies, and more
Commissioning innovative solutions for our multi-site/manufacturing operations; finding, sharing and capitalizing on opportunities for improvement
Creating methodologies and performing complex problem-solving
Learning new technologies
Understanding the manufacturing workflow and collaborating with business owners to identify areas where supported systems could enable automations/ improvements plans within the manufacturing facilities
Understanding data integrity and Computer System Validation compliance regulations. This will help in applying them in process discussions and improvement opportunities
Manage individual project deliverables and schedules and routinely report progress
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively in group settings and one on one.
The ability to provide mentorship and guidance online or face-to-face.
The ability to work in all Microsoft software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
The ability to provide presentations and communicate in a manner that is clear and concise to all parties.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree.
Experience Requirement:
Minimum 5 years relevant experience primarily in MES, and supported Automation, I4.0, and the "Technologies used" in the previous section
Familiarity with industry standards, such as ANSI/ISA-95 is favourable
Exposure to latest and emerging technology to turn the traditional factory to Smart Factory.
Turn conceptual ideas into realization
Able to generate turn-key ideas into the manufacturing solutions
Exposure to semiconductor industry equipment manufacturing preferred
Self-motivated and resourceful
Possesses drive with "can-do" attitude
Capable of developing positive work relationship, a favourable work environment within the team and other functional group
Must able to perform and demonstrate good workmanship understanding according to industrial standard
Ability to self-direct on projects and tasks and the ability to manage cross-functional team
Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skill
Able to perform any other task assigned by manager / supervisor
