You shall:
Provide technical application support to customers, sales representatives, reseller partners and consulting engineers. Serve as a conduit between the field and the sales, marketing, engineering, and order fulfillment departments. Provide technical sales support for sales engineer training and customer visits.
Provide pre- and post-sales quality technical assistance. Requirements include support of the selection of Monitoring and Geist products and technical troubleshooting. Serve as subject matter expert on product features and application, and support sales efforts and order capture rates
Provide sales support and product presentations to reps, reseller partners, and end users
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for product configuration, deployments, and software and firmware updates
Interface with engineering, product marketing and field support to ensure appropriate issue resolution and improve product quality
Log support issues in service ticketing system and pursue timely resolution of issues
Develop and sustain support collateral and technical documentation for the department knowledge base
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
You have:
Working knowledge of networks and data communications processes are required, including
Network devices: Routers, Ethernet switches, hubs, NICs, etc.
Troubleshooting down to Ethernet packet level
Familiarity with SNMP protocols is required
Detail-oriented; a high degree of accuracy regarding problem-solving and analytical skills is required
A professional attitude towards customer relations is required
Good verbal and written English communications skills and presentation skills are required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently are required
Good PC skills (word processing, spreadsheets) are required
Familiarity with protocols such as Modbus, RS232, RS422, RS485, ARCnet, BACnet is desirable
Familiarity with Building Monitoring Systems (BMS), or similar monitoring/management technologies, is desirable
Familiarity with application programming interface (API) is desirable
Familiarity with LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), Active Directory, and similar authentication services is desirable.
