Uber's APAC Centers of Excellence is looking for a Program Specialist for Engagement and Communications role to support and run an employee engagement and recognition programs targeting the APAC CommOps team across the APAC region.
This role sits in the APAC COE Engagement & Communications team but supports a diverse set of projects, programs, events and other activities that enable the entire APAC CommOps team to continue to grow, develop and foster a great company culture across South Asia, Philippines, ANZ, and North Asia. About the Team
The Engagement and Communications team in APAC Centers of Excellence focuses exclusively on ensuring all of our customers and employees have the best possible experience. We ensure value adding and highly engaging design and facilitation of all major employee engagement initiatives, events, Rewards and Recognition programs, and internal communications.
What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
You will partner with variety of teams, leaders, and people across APAC CommOps and serve as an ambassador and role model for Uber's cultural norms
Have a strong pulse on people's beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, and values at Uber
Be attuned to the specific needs of Uber's culture, identify root causes of engagement issues, and collaborate with the program/ project manager to address them
Conceptualize, execute and lead events and all cultural programs
Help manage vendors and drive positive outcomes for our organization
Lead efforts for engagement and recognition programs targeting a positive experience for employees
Use creativity and innovation while driving employee recognition efforts and goodwill programs
Be confident in presenting and communicating to a large employee groups both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when networking and working with senior and executive leaders
Build and sustain strong relationships with people partners, the leadership team, and employees across all functions
Partner with Workplace, IT, HR, P&E, and Security staff to make sure program needs are being met
Be able to use wide forms of internal media options to help drive strong internal communications
Showcase leadership, integrity and be a cultural partner for all enabling functions and operations to help strategize and execute on delivering key messages to the APAC CommOps employees
What You'll Need
2+ years in people or project management, office management, team administration, event planning; ideally from a startup/ tech environment
Project management skills (plan and execute projects with multiple work streams and dependencies) and the ability to handle tasks involving multiple businesses to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally and efficiently with internal and external partners/ vendors
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. Ideally, you are an outstanding problem solver and has a genuine interest in helping others
Very strong, strategic and business growth mentality. Skills to measure the impact of existing programs and proactively drive improvement and increase in programs' value
Thoroughly plan and implement programs with multiple work streams and dependencies and ensure that end-to-end support strategy is accomplished
A high level of proficiency with Google Drive/ Office Suite
Willingness to work weekends and occasional holidays, in an operational 24/7 environment
An experience in coordinating and leading multiple events with 500+ as audience or program recipients
Experience in working with various workgroups like facilities, workplaces, IT, operations and coordinating and hosting high visibility events is a plus
Proficiency in useful communications and collateral creation tools such as Photoshop, iMovie, Google forms, Google Pages etc. are highly desirable
