Job Description
·
Supervises team members in administration of corporate and statutory benefits
Develop and execute strategic employee wellness programs and initiatives.
Specific Responsibilities
Benefits
§ Manage and administer rewards programs . Ensure that incentives pertaining to the company's monthly incentive program are distributed to concerned departments.
Facilitates shine and refresher orientation
Liaise with the 3rd party providers on the requirements for the following protective benefits of employees
Health insurance of employees and dependents
Group Life Insurance
Accident Insurance
Memorial Plan
Facilitate new and renewal enrollment of employees to HMO, Group Life Insurance and other benefits
Oversee, executes, implements and mobilize the following employee services following the established calendar set at the beginning of the year:
Company Uniform
Annual Physical Examination
Annual Random Drug Testing
Annual vaccination programs (Flu, Cervical)
Service Awards
Compliance
Administer and ensure renewal of certifications and other permits as required by the private and government organizations
Represent the company during the external audit eg DOLE inspection audit
Employee Engagement
Support and maintain the employee engagement programs and initiatives that support SGS' organizational goals and culture.
Develop and communicate positive employee relations strategies and retention initiatives that foster and promote a culture of excellence.
Research and work with vendors and other departments to build employee engagement initiatives.
Serve as project point person on specific segments of employee engagement and communications programs, including contests, meeting logistics, meeting recaps, budget summaries, etc., to ensure all engagement programs are successfully implemented.
In collaboration with Learning and Development Team, designs regular employee engagement communication vehicles to employees by creating multimedia messages.
Supports design and administration components for employee engagement surveys.
Act as the Human Resources communications coordinator for the launch of special programs and events.
Administers and manages the rewards and recognition programs within SGS
Connect to the diffent teams and provide guidance in creating incentive programs
To participate and lead on specific projects as directed by the Compensation, Benefits and Compliance Manager.
To take responsibility for own continuous professional development
Quality, Safety and Health
Acts as representative of HR-GSS to QHSE meetings to ensure compliance
Meeting company health and safety goals
Support and implement OHS policies and programs
Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis
Demonstrates strong commitment to SGS HSE Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions by participating in safety meetings, completing required training, intervening in unsafe situations, refusing unsafe work, and complying fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSE.
Supervision
Oversee team's workflow and tasks
Set individual performance goals of the team consistent and aligned with the company's goals and objectives
Train , support the new hires of new roles and facilitate transition process
Delegate work assignments
Create and manage team schedules
Guide and help the team in resolving employee issues and disputes
Evaluate performance and provide feedback
Review, implement and continuously improve processes.
Support the Compensation and Benefits Manager in regularly reviewing the policies and updating accordingly
Others
Perform other related duties as required and assigned by Compensation, Benefits and Compliance Manager and HR Country Director.
· Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to:
o Operating to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity.
o Demonstrates strong commitment to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE
o Responds appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace
o Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements
o Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
o Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to immediate superior
o Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization's 5S program and guidelines
o Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators
o Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management
o Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
o Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization's compliance obligations
Profile
Graduate of either BS Computer Science, BS Psychology, or any Science or Business course
Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task
Demonstrated strength in regulatory compliance required.
Has strong sense or urgency and sound judgement
Has initiative and resourcefulness in meeting objectives.
Required Skills
Experience / Technical knowledge
Knowledge in implementation of employee benefits policies and its guidelines
Prefarebly with extensive knowledge on the Philippine Labor Code and its implementing guidelines
Familiarity with the legal aspects of Human Resource Management
At least 3-5 years experience in handling benefits and employee engagement and in supervisory functions
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organization
Knowledgeable in MS Office particularly in Word, Excel and Outlook Express
Manages and executes projects, budgets and proposals, timelines and creative design to increase employee engagement and to sustain the employee culture.
Excellent listening, creative thinking and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships and build influence with people internally and externally
Knowledge of tools, processes and working with various communications platforms, including print and digital;
