Job Description
The EHSS Specialist will enhance Grace's EHSS programs by providing support to the Grace Corporate EHSS and Product Stewardship (PS) functions, business locations, and leadership teams. The position assists in managing, coordinating, and continuously driving global excellence in core EHSS management systems and processes. The position will assist the Corporate EHSS team to facilitate integration of companywide programs and initiatives into Grace's overall business operations for world class safety performance, operational efficiency/productivity, and growth.
This position will report directly to the Corporate Health and Safety Manager but will maintain a strong customer relationship with the entire EHSS and PS organization from the Corporate Department through site-level EHSS and PS team members.

Promote Grace's vision of striving to be a premier specialty chemicals and materials company and demonstrate and integrate its core values into daily activities.
Support the technology framework and roadmap that develops, simplifies, and standardizes Grace's EHSS processes and systems across all regions.
Network with industry professionals to identify best practices and benchmark performance to ensure EHS processes and systems are optimized.
Assist H&S Manager to drive continuous improvement to achieve leading edge performance in EHSS processes.
Key Activities
Assist with the implementation of existing EHSS programs, procedures, policies, and programs
Manage and distribute EHSS data to the company; statistics, briefings, lessons learned, etc.
Assist with the development of core training programs for Corporate EHSS requirements
Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems and processes
Provide safety program support to the businesses in collaboration with Corporate and local EHSS personnel and operations leaders
Assist with building and administration of system reports and dashboards to support the development and implementation of a balanced scorecard to measure progress toward goals. Assist with creation and management of custom dashboards.
Assist with the delivery of Management Information System (MIS) system user training.
Other duties and assignments necessary to support the implementation of other ongoing system activities outside the MIS software including but not limited to document control, department communications, maintain regulatory update services, and regulatory/technical service to sites as needed.
Job Specifications
Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, engineering, science, or other technology-related fields.
2+ years' experience in EHSS management, Occupational Health and Safety.
Experience in the EHSS sciences or EHSS regulatory compliance systems is a plus, but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical documentation.
Ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on-schedule.
Attitude of ownership, ability to self-start, and carry work through to completion.
Proven ability to communicate technical issues/solutions to a non-technical audience.
Strong MS Office skills.
