The marketing coordinator will be a part of an interactive team. This position will be responsible for assisting the marketing team, as well as managing many detail-oriented aspects of our marketing strategy.
The marketing coordinator's primary responsibilities include the following:
Helping to develop and implement emails
Create and post social media content
Write blog posts in support of our editorial strategy
Gather and analyze monthly analytics
Perform periodic administrative tasks
There are many opportunities for new projects and growth. The overarching structure of the marketing department is one to provide abundant learning opportunities and close collaboration with the entire marketing team.
Summary of Tasks:
As marketing coordinator, you will support all marketing initiatives to grow our customer base and expand our service offerings. Ongoing activities and responsibilities include:
Implementing custom marketing campaigns to promote key products, partnerships, and to build our brands
Managing email marketing campaigns
Coordinating with vendors and ensuring completion of projects
Assisting the digital marketing manager and the rest of the marketing team
Managing and implementing editorial calendar
Researching, writing, and editing blog content
Editing and reviewing transcripts for editorial content
Editing and reviewing audio files for editorial content
Creating and maintaining reports to track key metrics
Creating and posting content on social media
Managing social media engagement
Assuming an essential role in helping REI achieve its goals and fulfill its vision

Position Requirements:
2+ years of marketing experience
High attention to detail
Excellent writing skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to stay organized and execute long-term projects
Positive attitude and passionate approach to your work
Objective thinking and goal-oriented mindset
Preferred:
Experience in email marketing a plus (ESPs such as ExactTarget or MailChimp)
Experience in social media a plus (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
Experience with WordPress or similar content management system a plus
Proficiency in graphic design a plus (Adobe Creative Suite)
