About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will envision how people experience content and funneling traffic in a way that feels inspired and refined. You will take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for billions of people in China-ranging from novice to sophisticated users. Achieving this goal requires that you collaborate closely with teams of Designers, Copywriters, Account Managers, Media Strategists and Analysts throughout the design process-from crafting user flows and wireframes to configuring server software. Your primary role at each stage will be to anticipate what our users need, advocate for them, and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Own product delivery, automation testing, and releases to improve reliability and to provide faster deployment cycles.
Work as an integrated part of the software engineering organization, understanding the application architecture.
Orchestrate the provisioning, load balancing, dynamic configuration, monitoring, and spend optimisation of servers across cloud providers, data centres, and availability zones.
About You
The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic with a positive can-do attitude, not afraid of new challenges, tight timelines, or curveballs, have strong time management skills - adhere to deadlines, and manage their time across multiple projects, flexible in hours to accommodate communication with other team members and to hit tight project deadlines, and has the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for collaboration.
Position Prerequisites
Experience managing a cloud-based, enterprise platform running on Google Cloud.
Google Cloud GCP experience.
Has a data security and privacy mindset for all projects at the start, including the ability to deploy password vaults and other issues that safeguard a project from the beginning of the project.
Experience as a DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience with automating all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Experience tackling scalability challenges across multiple products.
Experience setting up and tuning monitory to efficiently detect and predict issues using tools such as DataDog, AppDynamics, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
Experience leveraging technologies with Docker.
Experience with developing CI/CD pipelines.
Scripting experience using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Understanding of networks including subnets, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing.
Project Management Experience in an agile development environment.
Nice to Have
Experience managing a cloud-based, enterprise platform running on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure.
Experience with Configuration Management using Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
Experience and/or knowledge of the stock market.
