Position Overview
Reporting to the Head of Group Supply Chain, this individual will be the process controller for the monthly Demand & Supply Planning cycle, responsible for establishing clear guidelines and ensuring guidelines are followed by all relevant parties. This position will be the counterpart for Sales and Marketing team to address all supply chain related issues and will also take the lead in aligning overall supply chain process with Supply Logistics, Article Master, Product Compliance, as well as Logistics and Warehousing teams.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
Coordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
Interact with multi-functional teams to understand demand forecast drivers.
Actively engage with multi-functional teams on managing new products, and product phase-outs, taking into account strategic and integrated wider business planning.
Closely coordinate and communicate action plans with multi-functional teams to ensure dissemination of relevant information to and from the wider planning functions of the business.
Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning processes.
Report weekly to stakeholders with key forecasting and stock updates.
Working with logistics to ensure that demand is met within agreed KPI's with the customers.
Demonstrate leadership in engaging and working with internal and external resources and actively engage with peers to improve processes and methodologies.
Requirements
To be a successful applicant, you will have:
Bachelor's degree preferably in the area of Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or other quantitative business discipline
At least 8 years of experience working in supply chain function within the beauty retail/consumer goods environment with a comprehensive knowledge of processes and procedures
Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including knowledge and understanding of specialist systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Bill of Material (BOM) and customer data systems and an advanced Excel user
Excellent math and critical thinking skills required, as well as the ability to communicate at the appropriate level of detail or summarization, given the audience and objective.
Proven results running meetings where cross-functional decisions are needed and reached using analysis and facilitation skills.
Experience working varied hours (including evenings, weekends and holidays) to accommodate volume fluctuations caused by e.g. sales cycles, seasonality
