Assignment Detail Industry: IT Consulting/Services Job Description Data Warehouse Production Support - Level II Summary: As a Datawarehouse Production Support, you will be responsible for the technical support of Arch Re insurance Datawarehouse. This includes daily monitoring of ELT processes, troubleshooting of issues impacting Datawarehouse, work with internal and external team to resolve production issues, proactively communicate updates to stakeholders. This role requires strong communication, the ability to coordinate and work with multiple stakeholders. This person should be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Job Responsibilities: Monitor the production environment and proactively prioritize, communicate, and resolve any Datawarehouse Application issues. Ability to evaluate production situations and current information to determine the appropriate course of action and execute decisions Critically analyze production change requirements and access production impact. Work closely with product manager to develop and execute action plans to address gaps Production maintenance Recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization Communicate effectively with both the business and technical teams Mentor junior offshore team members to accomplish results Work closely with product team to prioritize issues Identify root cause of issues and provide emergency bug fix. Design, develop, and test fixes for identified problems Document findings and develop run books Actively look for opportunities to streamline and simplify the development and delivery process Required Skills: Experience managing production Datawarehouse environment. Experience building ETL pipelines from scratch Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions Excellent analytic skills Experience working with structured, semi structured and unstructured datasets Min 8 years of Datawarehouse experience using ETL/ELT technologies ETL/ELT experience working with Python, Data bricks, SQL, Snowflake and Azure Data Factory or equivalent technologies Experience working in Azure environment. Experience with agile methodologies Experience with Datawarehouse modelling Experience with data conformance process Experience with CICD process Experience working in SOX and SOC-2 compliant environment Experience monitoring and supporting production database and server environment Knowledge of source code version control systems such as Git including branching/merging, resolving code conflicts, and 3-way and baseless merges Based on recalibration with onshore manager, the following skills are must-haves for this PAR: . Data Warehouse . Python . SQL . ETL OR ETL Tools Desired Skills: Experience working with SSIS, SSRS and Power BI - desired Experience working in insurance or reinsurance industry - desired Experience working with external data feed to enrich internal data- desired Experience building Datawarehouse solution to support finance close process - desired Education: 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field.
