A. Data Protection and Information Security
1. Assists in implementing and maintaining the enterprise-wide information security policies and procedures.
2. Assists in implementing and conducting data privacy risk and impact assessments.
3. Collaborates and identifies solutions to minimize the Data Privacy and Information Security risks of Business and Support units.
4. Evaluates effectiveness of existing controls of different units and suggest remedial action.
B. Compliance
1. Oversees the maintenance of Personal Information Controller (PIC) and Personal Information Processor (PIP) in compliance with Data Privacy Act.
2. Ensures that rules and regulations as well as other issuances/guidelines and laws from the National Privacy Commission and PJLI internal security policies and standards are properly implemented.
C. Reporting
1. Ensures timely submission of report to the NPC and other documentation concerning security incidents or data breaches within the prescribed period.
2. Prepares reports on the effectiveness and completeness of implementation for information security projects, programs or initiatives.
D. Others
1. Conducts training on Data Privacy and Information Security as needed.
2. Assists the Department Head in breach/non-compliance investigations.
3. Participates actively during meetings, trainings and other professional development programs of the division/company.
4. Suggests alternative methods to business processes which may not necessarily involve data protection and compliance.
5. Makes recommendations on matters pertinent to business operations and other related activities.
Qualifications
Graduate of any four (4) years college course, preferably in Information Technology or Business Administration.
At least two (2) years of work related experience and in-depth understanding of Republic Act No. 10173, or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA) and its implementing rules and regulations (IRR), and BSP Circulars related to Information Security
Knowledge of Data Privacy and Data Protection
Knowledge of government risk regulatory compliance requirements
