The Role
As a Data Governance Policy Specialist, you will be responsible in establishing and maintaining bankwide data policies, standards and processes.
How you'll contribute
Drive consensus across executives to establish common data standards to guide the organization.
Partner with fellow functional experts (data quality, reference data, master data specialists) to align and implement data policies, KPIs and metrics to measure and refine the success of data governance program.
Supports overall change management to ensure BUs (Data Owners) understand data governance and follow policies.
Become a data governance "go to person" specialized in data policy and standards that internal customers seek advice from.
Understand various business needs and requirements for a consistent and flexible set of data rules and standards.
Perform regular review and training of data policies and standards across the groups and divisions
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
Minimum of 4 years experience in data governance or master data management including writing data policies, standards and processes
Must have strong domain knowledge of data governance especially data policies, standards and processes
Must have solid communication, presentation and social skills, especially the ability to build and maintain consensus among leaders
Demonstrated program and project management expertise including prioritization and problem solving
Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and sophisticated situations
