Rate: $7/hr and earn 70,000 PHP+/month 
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PST with 30-min unpaid lunch and two paid 15-min breaks.
 
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analytics Engineer to join our data engineering team. In this entry-level role, you'll be responsible for bread-and-butter data modelling work across domains (i.e., feature usage, revenue reporting) but you'll also be a business partner to many parts of the organization. With our team, you'll be turning rows and columns in a data warehouse into powerful business insights that can be used to make impactful decisions. This role will be a mix of data modelling & testing, and providing crucial analyses that are accurate, reliable, reproducible, and accessible to help impact the rest of the Business.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Analysis and Reporting:
Build insightful and reliable dashboards to track performance of core metrics that will deliver insights to the whole company.
Drive automation of reporting to enable self-serve analytics to scale across the company.
Database Management:
Write SQL queries to extract, store, and manipulate data in relational databases.
Design and develop dbt code to extend our existing data models.
Ensure the quality, integrity, and accessibility of the data.
Become an expert in our data models and the company's data architecture.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with product managers, sales, and other engineers to understand data needs, translate into technical requirements, design data models, and provide support.
Act as a point of contact for ensuring that the data required for reporting and analysis is accessible and accurate.
Performance Monitoring:
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with data flows or system performance.
Documentation & Best Practices:
Document all data processes and systems to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.
Follow coding best practices, contribute to team code reviews, and maintain version control with Git.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating databases.
Proficiency in spreadsheet tooling including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables
Experience with programming languages like Python (or other scripting languages).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python visualization
libraries is beneficial.
Familiarity with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, Airflow, dbt) is beneficial.
Experience with one or more of the following business subject areas is beneficial: marketing, finance, sales, product
Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
