Job Description
The Cost Accountant is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly duties to be executed timely and with the utmost integrity and accuracy. The role is responsible for performing cost analyses and for presenting cost-effective solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collects and organize product cost information, review, and come up with unit pricing.
Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the unit cost.
Generates and track all product costing estimates for both new and existing products
Coordinates closely on pricing/pricing strategies with other departments, especially Marketing and Sales to establish customer pricing
Responsible for the calculations, analysis, and forecasting of item cost data.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant study
Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role (Supervisor and up)
In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with accounting software and computer literate
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
