Job Description:
Compensation Control, within CFO, is responsible for Group-wide compensation planning, forecasting and analysis and the accurate financial reporting of compensation and benefits. It is an integrated compensation controlling function.
Compensation control is responsible for guiding holistic decision making within business and infrastructure divisions in relation to compensation and benefits. It is also responsible for the implementation of all related decisions made by the Senior Executive Compensation Committee and Management Board. Key components of the function's remit are pensions, cash bonus, severance, salaries and deferred compensation. These areas span multiple entities and business lines on a global basis and involve accounting, valuation and operational challenges.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the production and provision of timely and meaningful analysis of Compensation and Benefits costs; Support the professional and career development of Compensation team members
Understanding and proactive management of compensation bookings following the applicable accounting rules (IFRS and HGB); head office reporting and statutory books of DBGS
Validation and control across the entire suite of global compensation related bookings processes
Sign off accuracy of bookings in the systems including regulatory sign offs; Contact for regulators as well as internal and external audit
Stakeholder manager for the APAC region; primary face off for senior stakeholders in the region; Work in an international environment with numerous stakeholders across all Business Areas and Infrastructure Functions
Your Skills and Experience
University degree and/or professional qualification in Finance, Economics or Accounting, Series 99 license holder is preferred but not required, Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Finance experience within banking, ideally in areas such as Group, Regional and Divisional Finance; Excellent knowledge of finance processes, priorities and dependencies; Financial reporting skills and knowledge of remuneration and actuarial models; Talent for assimilating accounting and valuation knowledge and applying to processes and data;
Knowledge of DB Finance systems (SAP BCS incl. Ggl rep+, SAP\R3, dbCobra); Expert user of MS Office applications
Excellent people management skills, coupled with an attitude for effective communication and ability to work in an international team; Proactive and responsible attitude in combination with a structured and efficient style of working
Track record of managing complex processes and supervising multiple projects in parallel, to deadline; Ability to identify control weaknesses and amend processes, oversight and governance to remediate; Capacity to assess and manage the impact of new requirements on own and dependent processes
