Chat Support Representative
Job Description:
Provides resolution to customer inquiries, issues, and complaints via the online chat channel with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism. Communicates with customers using web-based tools and demonstrates proficiency in typing, grammar, and spelling. Demonstrates consistent proficiency in most of the skill sets utilized within the Department.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions listed below are representative of duties performed by this job title. Duties generally include but not limited to the following:
Responds promptly to incoming chat support requests from customers in accordance to established case handling procedures
Demonstrates case management skill by managing timelines and communications
Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions
Documents problems, diagnostics, interactions, next steps, and solutions implementation in the CRM database
Escalates issues to the appropriate departments for higher levels of support
May be required to work in one or multiple queues/skill sets over various customer contact channels, according to the business needs
Requirements
Qualifications:
2 years of collegiate education is required
At least 2-3 years of working experience in Technical Supportis required for this position
1 year SOLID PURE CHAT experience and handling multiple windows is REQUIRED
Excellent English communication skills
Basic Knowledge on VOIP, networking, routers and modems
Strong customer service orientation
45 WPM minimum (required)
Experience configuring, updating and supporting VOIP solutions in a multi-location environment is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a highly demanding, team-oriented and fast paced environment
Networking, IT or telecommunications certification is a plus
Applicants must be amenable to work at night
Applicants must be amenable to work at Shaw
