Job Description
The Supervisor for Centre of Excellence is responsible for supporting the Procurement Department of the growing knowledge base the company has created for the benefit of its team members and external users in relation to evidence-based processes and best practices.
This role is responsible for the governance, process mapping, policy and procedures review and implementation. He/She will also be responsible for standardization of processes and forms, operational improvements and monitoring of KPIs.
She/He will be instrumental in facilitating learning and knowledge sharing through provision of educational materials and resources. She/He will participate as an active member of the Center of Excellence, contributing to the future direction of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Governance: Policies and Procedures
Ensures that the company has in place the governance framework, policies, procedures and support it needs to function as an effective regulator and able to perform their function and responsibilities, within the governing legislation and policy framework
Manages the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures in line with current good practice, and to identify and advise on governance issues, as required
Ensures team compliance to proper business practices & policies including processes related to data integrity, documentation and approval of change requests and exception submissions and established business practices.
Maintains regular communication with the team and other related departments on development, implementation and follow through of policy & procedures
KPIs, Metrics and Operational and System improvements
Ensures that all department timelines, deadlines and requirements are met including monthly reporting schedule
Provides consistent communication on individual and team performance on key metrics
To ensure that systems are in place to enable the company to comply with its statutory reporting requirements
Guide the implementation and continuous integration of Digital Procurement Platform with the company's ERP to successfully support seamless P2P process covering business, technology and control & support functions
Manage backlog issues to drive transformation and push adoption rate of internal and external users through continuous monitoring of KPI metrics and dashboards
Relationship Management
To provide comprehensive and high-quality support to AP-SSC, Business Process, Audit and Risk Management, and/or other Committees or advisory groups as required
To work closely with the AP-SSC, Business Process Group, Audit and Risk Management to develop the COE's forward work program, and to review this, as required
To work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including governments, external audit, and other regulators
Works with COE team to continuously develop overall performance, effectively utilizing team resources and implementing improvements
Provides training and assesses strengths and developmental needs of team members including timely, clear and objective coaching
Qualifications
Educational Requirement:
College graduate of any Engineering or Business Courses.
Work Experience Required:
More than five (5) years of relevant working experience in Procurement
Relevant work experience in FMCG or Feeds and Flour industry
Critical Competencies Required:
Excellent communications and people management skills, team player
Relationship Management, influencing and implementation skills
Project management, planning and organizational skills are vital
Advance skills in ERP systems and Microsoft packages, in particular Excel
Strong analytical, technical and functional knowledge and skills
Integrity and high sense of urgency
