The Cash Apps department is part of the Order to Cash department and operates globally out of 4 locations, Amsterdam for the EMEA region, St. Louis for the America's , Singapore for APAC and Manila for Global payments. The Cash Apps department is mainly responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of the Cash Apps bank accounts (also for security, technical or infrastructure related matters), cash reporting and escalation point for urgent and critical Cash Apps related issues. Due to the corporate structure of Elsevier, also payments related to other entities are received and passed on via intercompany. The payments are related to journals, books, Science Direct, advertising which totals to approximately 75% of the Elsevier revenue. Timely processing and allocation ensure efficient order processing and contribute to effective credit control.
