Job purpose
Based in Manila, the Business Intelligence Specialist will be a key member of the Regional Finance Systems team and be responsible for the technical aspects to bridge the gap and streamline the finance operational processes with new initiatives resulting in better controls, process efficiencies, and time-saving. The individual will focus on minimizing manual touchpoints, and replace them with robust automated processes using various tools e.g. Python, VBA, Script, etc.
Duties and responsibilities
Work with finance users and other stakeholders to gather the business requirements and issue within the current business processes.
Perform gap analysis and come up with the potential solutions
Develop scripts/tools/workflows to fulfill user's requirements using Python, VBA, etc.
Assist finance users on technical related matters and collaborate with the IT department and external partners
Assist finance users on functional and data requirements to enhance data model and reports
Assist finance users to generate ad-hoc data queries and reports
Contribute to continuous improvement and new initiatives

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Accounting, or related disciplines.
At least 3 years of experience in the IT, Data, or Finance area
Hands-on experienced in Python, VBA, or any other automation tools e.g. RPA, Selenium
Expert in MS Excel and Power Query
Proficiency with SQL and data modeling
Experienced in web services e.g. SOAP API and REST API is a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with diverse people
Positive attitude, energetic, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple critical priorities and deadlines.
Flexibility to handle directional changes and ability to support multiple deadline specific assignments while maintaining day-to-day business supports
