Job Description:
Provide ongoing attention and assistance to the completion of client work for a variety of individual, business, and investment structures including:
Bookkeeping duties
Reconciliations, journal entries, and work paper preparation;
Preparation and collation of Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, and Activity Statements;
Handling GST obligations for clients;
Tax compliance and value-added services such as international tax, capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax, R&D tax incentives and transfer pricing;
Assisting with various client issues from time to time which may include various administrative tasks when necessary, including but not limited to:
Tax Tracking management;
Lodging Tax Returns;
Organising and entering client tax information;
Assisting with various client tax issues;
Assisting with the setup of client Companies and Trusts;
Liaising with other associated third parties e.g. the nominated financial planners of superannuation funds; and
Attendance to other relevant administrative tasks as necessary.
Keeping up-to-date with technical competencies, including:
Participating in internal and external technical training sessions; and
Maintaining necessary qualifications and undertaking professional developments as required.
Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear expression of issues to both clients and other working relationship individuals;
Focused and committed to achieving client deadlines
Excellent time management and organisational skills;
Excellent attention to detail;
Suitable level of discretion and empathy when dealing with clients ;
Key team player;
Shows initiative;
High level of computer literacy and ability to use spread-sheeting and word-processing for all aspects of calculation, reporting, and correspondence;
Competency in using software e.g. Xero, MYOB and BGL Simple Fund; and Align with corporate culture and firm values of integrity, respect, and excellence.
