Job Title Associate Performance Test Engineer
Purpose of the role
The Performance Testing Engineer will specialize in the creation and maintenance of performance testing scripts using the available open source and internal tools. This would entail the design, scripting, testing, execution and maintenance of performance testing scripts. This position requires analytical thinking for performance test result analysis. This position would require collaboration with Product, Development and QA teams to understand performance testing scenarios and requirements.
In this role you'll
Participate in performance testing of major functionalities of product assigned. Effort will include design, scripting, testing, and execution of performance testing scripts.
Analyze and compare performance testing baseline and results and identify areas where performance has degraded to the Development and QA teams.
Participate in maintenance of performance test scripts for repeatable use.
Collaborate with Development and QA teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements that needs to be translated to performance testing scripts.
Work closely with Development, QA and PM teams to ensure on-time delivery of performance testing execution requests.
Document lessons learned for the team's use.
Identify process or script improvements for the team.
About the ideal candidate
Must possess a University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline with good academic records from schools with reputable CS/IT programs.
Knowledge or exposure to performance testing software such as LoadRunner/Performance Center/Jmeter is a plus.
Experience or knowledge in programming using C, C#, VB or Java.
Proven ability to analyze and solve problems effectively and quickly.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and commit/deliver under strict timelines.
Good verbal and written communication skills and can work collaboratively with other teams.
