As the Associate Manager, Infrastructure and Operations (I&O), your role will design, planning, and assist with the management, support, and oversight of the storage and backup environments and business continuity processes during the lifespan of this service. You will be managing, maintaining, monitoring, and securing (including data security) of the environment including installations, upgrades, patches, and documentation. I&O is responsible to own the development, delivery, and support of global compute and storage services within the cloud (Azure, Google, AWS) and on-premises infrastructure services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver reliable, available, and sustainable support for our storage and data protection services globally using automation
Drive public and hybrid cloud-based, proof-of-concept prototypes that assess the feasibility of solutions and demonstrate to our clients how technology can be leveraged
Work with business partners on improving the customer experience when using storage and backup solutions
Work with architects to identify, analyze, and resolve complex public, private and hybrid solutions.
Establish relationships with strategic public and hybrid cloud vendors to acquire knowledge develop partnerships and collaborate on potential architectural solutions and technology acquisitions
Drive capacity planning by managing and providing current usage statistics and providing future projected growth estimates
Perform cross-functional tasks supporting business projects, infrastructure projects, change management with our various infrastructure platforms (database, operating systems, application teams) as it pertains to implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Provide level three technical guidance to the operations support team members
May be required to work occasional nights and/or weekends
Manage multiple initiatives independently
Design and develop enterprise cloud hosting solution to support the organization strategy
Knowledge of designing, developing, or provisioning in public clouds like Azure
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting distributed, open system environments and storage and backup technologies (EMC, Commvault, Rubrik etc.)
Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud platform technologies - Microsoft Azure; and at least one scripting tools (PowerShell, Terraform, Perl, UNIX shell, etc.)
Knowledge of virtual application delivery technologies and virtual desktop infrastructures including knowledge of disaster recovery concepts
Experience supporting advanced storage system software (Replication, RecoverPoint, snap/clone copies)
Experience in cloud platforms technologies - Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services
ITIL v3 or v4 certification is preferred
