As the Associate Manager, BPT Infrastructure & Operations (IT Operations Platform Engineer), you are mainly responsible for the standard delivery and operations of platform services supporting SC Johnson non-SAP applications which include installation, configuration, database administration, automation, monitoring, capacity management and lifecycle services. You will also be responsible for driving and executing on-going platform stability and maturity initiatives while also enabling operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides technical oversight of Managed Service Providers ensuring delivery of SLA (Service Level Agreement), as well as identification of on-going continuous improvement
Development of playbooks and technical documentation to ensure delivery is consistent and repeatable
Lead and/or participate in various projects: strategic and operational initiatives.
Work closely with architecture to refine approaches for monitoring, capacity and lifecycle management
Lead and/or participate in developing service lifecycle strategy, roadmap and platform upgrades, capacity management efforts, performance management and improvement efforts
Drive Process improvements and optimization through Automation
Define and Maintain Framework/Guidelines for Automation, CI/CD, and DevOps
Uphold and refine metrics and reporting to showcase achievement in delivery and operations
Operationalize disaster recovery solutions and assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met
Champion the resolution of technically significant issues affecting the platform through personal ownership and coordinate teams and stakeholders
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related business degree
Minimum 5 years of Infrastructure experience
Experience with one or more of the following will be an added advantage: Teradata, Informatica, Tableau, Tibco, ADAM or Webcenter and automation tools such as Terra form and Ansible
Microsoft Azure Cloud and ITIL Certifications are also added advantages
Experience working with a global team, writing technical requirements and/or design specifications
