As the Associate, Account, you are responsible for the end-to-end accounting processes of a cluster or group of small subsidiaries; from preparation of journal entries, running of SAP Month-end close processes up to the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Responsible for the reconciliation, analysis and substantiation of all accounts owned by shared services center (SSC) Finance for the cluster or group of small subsidiaries, ensuring validity and up-to-date balances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and align month-end/year-end close checklist with the cluster or subsidiaries and coordinate full compliance with the local team and other SSC process owners
Review all journal entries and ensure correct accounts are used, compliance to policy and threshold, availability and accuracy of supporting documents and approvals based on delegation of authority
Performs Fixed asset process like internal order creation, capitalization, transfer or retirement for the assigned cluster or group of subsidiaries
Analyze and reconcile all accounts owned by SSC, for the assigned cluster or group of subsidiaries, ensure all balances are substantiated and recommend, coordinate, and support the local team in the clearing of old balances
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related fields
Good working knowledge on General accounting, Reporting environment with month end close responsibilities, and General ledger experience
Proficient and advanced in Microsoft Excel skills
