About the AML Head Role:
In this business critical position, you will carry out the anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep abreast of the latest regulatory requirements on AML and CFT and implement necessary controls
Evaluate, review, and advise on policies and procedures of various business units
Act as an advisor for all relevant AML laws as needed
Conduct regulatory risk assessment and support the management in mitigating said risks
Analyse results of the monitoring system and act on it
Ensure an environment of compliance awareness bank-wide
Act as the contact person for the AML Council (AMLC) and other relevant groups/regulators
Manage the team that reviews suspicious transactions escalated by the team
To succeed in the AML Head role, you must be a seasoned compliance manager within another reputable financial services organisation.
Key Requirements:
10 or more years of experience doing AML in a local bank or financial institution
Proficiency and updated knowledge of AML regulations
People-management experience of at least two years
Excellent know-how of banking operations in a similar business
