ADVOCACY OFFICER
Position Qualifications:
Fluent in oral and written communication in English and Cebuano. (Fluency in written and oral Tagalog preferred, but not required).
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development or other relevant field from an accredited University required.
At least 1 year relevant experience (preferably in community organization, community development, casework, group work or working with survivors of sexual abuse or exploitation).
Proficiency in social media handling and content production
Ability to produce a variety of written and visual information, education, and communication (IEC) materials
Ability to conceptualize, design, and implement online and in-person advocacy campaigns.
Ability to handle and facilitate group trainings and community outreach activities related to prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation.
Ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with target participants and cultivate intentional and productive relationships
Ability to establish network and partnership with other service providers such as NGO's, churches, academic and other government institution.
Ability to assess, maximize and empower community resources and strengths.

Job Description and Responsibilities:
Assist Therapeutic Aftercare and Advocacy Manager in designing, planning, and implementing advocacy campaigns.
Organize and facilitate monthly webinars on human trafficking/abuse/mental healthcare
Take the lead in scouting for venues and corresponding with invitees and participants of both in-person and virtual training sessions and seminars
Assist Therapeutic Aftercare and Advocacy Manager in taking care of logistics during seminars and training of trainers.
Actively participate in developing the iSpeak manual by looking into and writing training modules
Assist in conducting surveys and focus group discussions in various barangays to determine knowledge gaps with regards to gender and development, human trafficking, and abuse as well as assess level of understanding in the community for iSpeak to have a baseline data to work with for future community seminars.
Collaborate with the Family and Community Development Officers of MRH in initiating and facilitating empowerment projects for the families and communities of the girls of My Refuge House.
Coordinate and maintain relationships with local churches, academic institutions, NGOs, and LGUs in order to provide social support system for My Refuge House's community outreach projects.
Build linkages between local community members and existing resources
Identify, train, and empower student- led advocacy groups, parent leaders and other local trainers in responding to and managing sexual abuse and exploitation cases.
Develop a plan and facilitate regular community outreach activities for prevention and education purposes.
Maintain organized, updated, and detailed records of iSpeak seminars, community outreach activities, and directory of participants and partners.
Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
Maintain the social media accounts and website of iSpeak.
Take the lead in developing a social media plan, organizing online content, responding to inquiries, and producing material for social media posting.
Facilitate referral to partner agencies if needed.
Work five (5) eight (8)-hour day shifts in a week. Be able to work some evenings and weekends.
Create an environment of love, acceptance, care, support, encouragement and guidance.
