Description
Responsible for processing (coding and entering) and paying vendor invoices and employee expenses in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
Check the accuracy of invoices.
Validate services invoices against approved time.
Input and code invoices to correct cost centres.
Match invoices with Purchase Orders.
Send invoices to managers for payment approval.
Schedule pay runs.
First point of contact for debtor enquiries.
Perform reconciliations, including supplier statement reconciliations.
Support the month-end process.
Report of Aged Payables plus other ad hoc reporting where applicable.
Identify improvements to the accounts payable process.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Accuracy and attention to detail when managing accounting figures and financial records.
Sound understanding of basic accounting principles.
Discretion and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records.
Accurate data entry skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Demonstrable ability to understand profit/cost center structures.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Ability to build and manage vendor relationships.
Ability to work autonomously, yet be part of a broader team.
A team ethic, positive, proactive, flexible attitude and ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
Intermediate computer software skills.
