Job Description
• Strategically manage the department in compliance with company's policies and vision
• Oversee Cash Management. Ensure that all cash sales are deposited and all direct or online credits from customers are identified and applied correctly to specific invoices of each paying customers.
• Conduct daily sales audit such as checking till reconciliation of sales vs cash/EFTPOS receipts.
• Investigate and resolve any noted discrepancy in sales/collection vs receipts
• Manage and maintain debtors and creditors accounts. Follow-up collections from customers and also initiate payment to local and overseas suppliers.
• Regularly reconcile debtors' and creditors' statement versus company system balances.
• Manage accounts team to properly record, classify and summarize daily transactions according to the various profit/cost centers of the company.
• Adjust inventory for extra and promotional stocks, change and charge prices taking hid for the particular inventories (stocks); Maintain records of daily bakery production and retail sales.
• Ensure preparation of correct landing cost of imported stocks on time.
• Do and check internal stock transfer to designated locations and maintaining records of the same.
• Reconcile and administer Petty Cash usage. Ensure that all petty cash disbursement is in accordance with the company policy.
• Monitor and authorize staff's advances and the repayments of the same.
• Assist in achieving financial objectives by acknowledging annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Manage stock control and conduct periodic inventory count, reconcile with the stocks records in the system and follow-up justifications on significant variances.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport & shipping companies
• Manage fortnightly and monthly payroll preparation and ensure to comply with existing PNG labor regulations.
• Ensure to provide regular management reports as required.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by management
• Manage that all outgoing and incoming stocks are all properly documented.
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Conduct weekly/spot count for selected items as required by management
• Organize updating in the system Stock Transfers between warehouses.
• Ensure that whenever applicable, re-charging accurately of Freight Charges and the likes immediately upon delivery of goods.
• Maintain proper filing of accounts records.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management or similar fields.
• Requires minimum 3 years' experience in accounts management or related fields.
• Requires good communication skills and command of English
• Must be computer literate and familiar with MS Office applications
• Must be able to work well in management team
• Must have experience in wholesale, retail and manufacturing operations
• Must be familiar with computerized accounting system.
