Job Description
Job Summary:
As an Accounting Supervisor, you will supervise the accounting team in ensuring that the operational accounting processes and procedures are performed in accordance with Company guidelines and standards. You will also be responsible for controlling the general accounting processes with the objective of providing reliable, accurate and timely financial reports as required externally and internally by Management.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepares and ensures accurate and timely submission of financial reports - monthly, quarterly and year-end financial package, and other internal report analysis and submit all these to immediate superior for review and approval.
Collaborates with other departments for data requirements necessary in the report preparation.
Ensures timely recording of financial data in the ERP system used by the Company.
Prepares Cashflow forecast and ensure funding for all payment obligations.
Financial Controls:
Ensures that processing of transactions is made in accordance with Company guidelines, especially those requiring Management approval.
Conducts regular periodic inventory count and fixed assets check, in coordination with the Operations Team.
In coordination with the HR and Admin Team, conduct regular inspection of the office equipment and fixtures.
Prepare bank reconciliation in a timely manner, as required by Management.
Analyze actual expenses vs forecast and partner with stakeholders to manage cost and profitability.
Compliance:
Ensure that activities comply with Company guidelines, government requirements (BIR, PEZA, SEC, etc.), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Prepare monthly reports for the timely preparation of tax returns.
Liaise with external auditors in the preparation of the audited financial statements.
Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to provide accurate financial information that can be used by Management for decision making
Establish an open communication with the team, especially in case issues are noted, to be able to address these in a timely manner.
Other Tasks:
Identify process improvement opportunities in the accounting processes and provide recommendations to Management.
Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on accounting activities
Assist in other special projects and activities as may be required by Management
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a graduate of BS in Accountancy
Certified Public Accountant
Must have at least three (3) years' experience in the accounting profession
Must be knowledgeable about accounting principles
Have experience in handling general ledger and recording financial transactions
Computer literate; above average oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge and technical understanding of construction industry components and manufacturing techniques, preferred
Diligent
Great attention to detail and thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
Team-player, results-oriented, has initiative, customer- focused, innovative, and systematic.
Ability to add value, reduce cost and make business improvements.
Flexible, with tasks outside of ongoing position responsibilities
