Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. This role ensures the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of all financial processes while safeguarding the integrity of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will supervise accounting staff, manage financial reporting, and support senior management in achieving the company's financial goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily performance and operations of the accounting department.
Approve petty cash advances and cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, receiving reports, and purchase orders.
Supervise the preparation of monthly departmental financial reports to compare actual performance against budget.
Collaborate with management to develop and analyze reports for budgeting purposes.
Generate and review monthly profit and loss reports and other financial statements.
Verify and check monthly BIR reports for Expanded Withholding Tax and VAT.
Monitor expenditures and variances, recommending and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Oversee cost and inventory coding for new materials and ensure accuracy in material profiles.
Administer access and permissions for accounting systems (e.g., Fiesta administrator).
Conduct interviews, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for accounting staff.
Update and submit reports required by the Board of Directors for weekly meetings.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting supervision or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and BIR compliance requirements.
Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
