This job posting will remain open until the vacancy is filled. <\/em><\/p><\/p>Department: Accounting and Finance<\/p>Location: Taguig, Philippines<\/p><\/p><\/p><\/p><\/p>ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING CLUSTER SPECIALIST<\/b><\/h1><\/p>The Accounting & Reporting team support a cluster of JTI entities on various IFRS and local statutory accounting activities. These include but are not limited to preparation and submission of accruals, preparation and submission of requests for fixed asset master data maintenance, submission of requests for GL account master data maintenance, preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, monthly review of entity trial balance, preparation of quarterly IFRS reporting pages for submission to corporate accounting, preparation of tax package for submission to corporate tax accounting, preparation of statutory reporting for entities in the cluster, validation of invoices for VAT return submission and preparation of annual reporting such as CBCR and JCFC.
<\/p><\/p>WHAT WILL YOU DO<\/b><\/h2>1.) IFRS and Statutory reporting<\/b><\/p><\/p>Analyze and prepare monthly accounting entries (accruals, reclassifications, prepaid expenses, fixed assets) based on principles agreed with the market and stipulated in SLAs. <\/li>Analyze and prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations based on JTI IFRS accounting principles and agreed SLAs. <\/li>Analyze and prepare quarterly \/ annual reports for group reporting based on JTI IFRS accounting principles and agreed SLAs.
<\/li>Work closely with market for statutory audit and financial statement \/ disclosure preparation<\/li><\/ul><\/p>2.) Process Documentation<\/b><\/p>Support the team manager and expert on regular review and update of process documentation (user manuals and process flow)<\/li><\/ul><\/p>3.) Continuous Improvement<\/b><\/p>Achieve targets on operational metrics and KPIs<\/li>Extend knowledge of SAP, accounting\/ tax and business processes to maintain high level of professionalism<\/li>Support process improvements, analyze their impact on groups activities in close collaboration with colleagues. <\/li>Support the team manager and expert on user acceptance testings, as applicable. <\/li><\/ul><\/p>4.) Control and Compliance<\/b><\/p>Perform the assigned JSOX \/ operational controls in accordance with the internal documentation<\/li>Escalate all controls failures and ensure mitigation actions are in place for each failure.
<\/li><\/ul><\/p>5.) Business Partnering and Teamwork:<\/b><\/p>Liaise with market\/factory accountants and controller and other relevant departments to ensure delivery of reliable and relevant accounting information. <\/li>Handle ad hoc tasks delegated by team manager and expert<\/li>Assist and provide support to other GBS groups within the area of responsibility<\/li>Take part in local and global projects upon assignment by Team manager and expert<\/li>Support on activities or training other Accounting and Reporting team members. <\/li><\/ul><\/p>WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR<\/b><\/h2>University degree holder (Accounting or Finance)<\/li>A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA is desired<\/li>At least 2 years experience in finance\/accounting department or external auditing firms<\/li>Financial reporting background with IFRS is a plus<\/li>Strong command of English Language (oral and written)<\/li>Knowledge of languages of the markets within the cluster desired<\/li>Strong and solid background on general accounting principles including but not limited to intercompany, fixed assets, inventories, leases, receivables\/payables and accruals.
<\/li>Strong background on financial reporting activities particularly on financial statement preparation, accounts reconciliation and managerment reporting packages. <\/li>Experience in supporting internal and external audits including tax and statutory audits<\/li>Working knowledge on IFRS, Tax and SOX compliance<\/li>Working knowledge of SAP is a plus<\/li>Working knowledge on Microsoft Applications. Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel is required.
