DTN is looking for an Accountant to join our team out of our Manila location. The accounting team at DTN is responsible for providing accurate financial statements, completing timely month end closings, and maintaining all records. As an internal team, we are responsible for providing timely and accurate data to help drive key decisions.
What you will be responsible for:
Be responsible for assigned monthly close tasks including, but not limited to: the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations & analytical review of the monthly financials
Be responsible for the accounting and reporting of few legal entities
Be responsible for capital software accounting and project monitoring
Enhance and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Assist in the annual financial audit
Participate in cross functional projects with other departments and other ad-hoc projects as needed
What you will bring to the role:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with CPA certification preferred
4+ years of related work experience with at least 2 years of public accounting experience preferred
Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate in a clear and logical manner
Strong analytical, technical, and Excel skills and ability to draw data-based conclusions
Driven, detail-oriented individual who can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Proven skills working cross organizationally including organizations outside the US
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (in US GAAP - IFRS a plus)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working ERP knowledge preferred (Workday)
