THE OPPORTUNITY
Working in 50 developing countries across Asia, Africa and the Americas, Plan aims to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalized with high-quality programs that deliver long-lasting benefits by increasing its income, working in partnership with others, and operating effectively.
In relation to this role, Plan has an emerging Youth Employment Solutions sector that continues to define system solutions for program quality. The Digital Development Manager will work to design, implement, coordinate, and execute pre-defined ICT solutions for the sector. It will work closely with offices across the world and with Plan's Global Hub's Innovation and Skills & Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (SOYEE) to promote innovation and digital solutions in the sector.
As a Digital Development Manager:
You will significantly contribute to the country, regional and global strategy on youth employment.
You will oversee the various products being developed and deployed by the YES!DIGITAL team to support Plan International's Skills and Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (SOYEE) Area of Global Distinctiveness
You will manage and direct an agile team of staff and consultants to manage product development and management.
You will represent Plan International at international and global events for advocacy and enhancing brand reputation.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful in this role you will need among other things:
Bachelor's degree in any related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
Five years of professional experience in digital development product implementation.
Experience in Mobile first, Human-Centered Design and Agile Design Methodologies
Minimum three (3) years' experience in managing and supervising a team(s).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to present arguments clearly and powerfully to a variety of audiences.
Experience or desire to work with the youth and communities for youth-related programs and projects would be preferred.
Ability to prioritize and manage a complex and varied workload, often to tight deadlines
Applicants must have the right to work in the Philippines without restrictions. Local applicants are preferred.
