The HR Specialist handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the organization. Provides tier one support for the HR Services Center and is responsible for responding to employee questions and inquires.
HR Administration
Use case management approach to resolves matters pertaining to employee benefit programs, including life, health, disability, medical, paid time off as well as retirement and pension plans.
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements using company document management tools
Processes personnel action requests (cases) and ensures proper approvals (IT New Hire Starters, Separation advisory notices, data and or contract changes) - update tracking sheets as necessary
Prepares new-hire paperwork and ensures all letters and documentation are checked and sent without error and ensure return of paperwork is done timely
Supports the annual performance merit process by producing updated addendums to employment contracts for changes in salary
Produce end of probation letters in a timely manner
HR Systems
Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in timely manner includes starters, leavers, absences within the HRIS system and other relevant HR Systems
Ensure data on HR systems is accurate through monthly audit checks
Run monthly HR reports for HR and Finance
Run daily Exit Survey invitation process
Run weekly new hire training audits
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to speak and write English
Ability to build trusting relationships
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills
Experience with MS Office software and email applications
Ability to VLook Up and use basic Excel skills
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required
1 year HR administration experience preferred
