MoneyGeek is seeking long-term partners who can edit quality, well-researched content about insurance, mortgage, loans, credit cards, financial planning, taxes, etc. for U.S. readers.
The editor is responsible for proofreading, fact-checking and reviewing content for accuracy, AP style, grammar, tone and concision.
This is a Freelance position with a chance to be converted to a full-time position. Payment rate will be per article ($10-12 = 1,500 words)
Expectations:
Review English content about personal finance for U.S.-based audiences
Proofread content for grammatical accuracy
Edit web content for tone and concision
Fact-check content by researching topics and reviewing provided data
Apply AP style to long-form content
Maintain consistent quality across multiple pages
Identify and prevent duplicate content and plagiarism
Ensure that all materials are complete based on detailed instructions and outlines
Provide feedback to writers
Responsive on email/messages
Available to edit 15-20 pieces of content per week, depending on the length of each page.

Can deliver multiple edits articles within a deadline (usually a weekly deadline)

Familiar with Google Workplace tools (docs, sheets, etc)
