The Infrastructure Senior Manager is an intermediate level role that will lead Global Batch Management Services Project Integration team in APAC, providing level 2 and project management support for batch scheduling, file transmission and report archival and retrieval services .
Responsibilities:
Build a collaborative relationship with all business groups in support of their applications in order to meet the technology goals of providing a first-class service to our customers.
Build a collaborative relationship with global Production Operations peers and CTI partners in order to define and deliver global technology solutions that are aligned with organizational strategy and global standards to support migration/divestiture/business related project.
Identify operational inefficiencies and take appropriate action to implement continuous improvement in these areas, leveraging automation solutions wherever feasible.
Gain and maintain technical competencies to ensure highest quality leading edge support for CTI and the businesses we support.
Ensure Level 2 services and processes are controlled and compliant with all Citi standards, while maintaining client centric orientation.
Ensure workloads are effectively managed in support of project and business priorities.
Ensure the global strategy is executed in the use of standard processes, functions and tools to deliver an effective and efficient service to our customers.
Support the COB build and strategy setup in relation to the projects.
Support continuous process improvements to optimize operations, prevent incidents and reduce business impact.
Lead, evaluate, provide resources and drive a team towards realistic goals
Apply knowledge of concepts and procedures to resolve issues
Responsible for delivery of end results and resource planning; shares responsibility for budget management which directly impacts the Technology Infrastructure area
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of how Technology Infrastructure integrates within the overall technology function to achieve business goals
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, evaluate controls to help mitigate negative outcomes through prevention, detection and correction
Persuades and influences others through communication skills; may negotiate with external parties
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Ability to manage teams.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
Minimally 5-7 years Enterprise & Distributed batch operations experience, preferably within the Financial Services or Banking industry.
History of a strong customer focus and building strong relationships with partners and clients.
Confidence and previous experience of representing the needs of their clients and delivering results.
Minimally 4-5 years of project management experience handling multi-disciplinary and complex projects.
Capability to absorb and understand complex technical challenges and impart the knowledge upon colleagues.
Ability to work through problems methodically while under pressure.
Proven track record for delivering solutions.
Commitment to challenge existing norms and willingness to initiate and drive standardization and continuous improvement.
A self-starting and pro-active approach to business.
An experienced technologist with an appreciation of all datacenter disciplines, familiar with batch processing concepts across multi-platforms.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and certification(s) in relevant technology disciplines a plus
Knowledgeable on Batch Workload Automation, Report Management, and Data Transmissions.
Proficient or knowledgeable on TWS, CAVIEW, NDM, Autosys, CMOD, WCC, DWC tools
Shell scripting abilities is a plus (sh, csh, korn) PERL, HTML, CGI, JAVA scripting, Microsoft Project, MS Office, SharePoint.
The following skill sets are a plus:, Windows, Sun Solaris, , HP UNIX, LINUX, Web/Internet experience, LINUX Hardware & OS Knowledge, Network knowledge base e.g. Aliases/3DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, Powerbroker Policies.
Proficiency with fundamental mainframe technology and operations, including but not limited to proficiency with JCL, TSO, ISPF, JES, z/OS, industry standard file management utilities, IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, FileAid, DFSORT, IDCAMS, etc.
The successful candidate should demonstrate excellence in their work and ability to achieve common goals.
Good organization skills to enable multiple tasks to be executed concurrently.
Good oral and written communication skills to enable effective communication between peers, seniors and non-technical contacts.
Professional, adaptable, and self-motivated with a focus on delivery.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
