A challenging role within the APAC Rates & Currencies Product Control team, primarily responsible for Markets Treasury businesses, based in Manila.
The VP role is aligned with the APAC business lines, and is accountable for all Product Control activity performed by the team. It requires significant understanding of the business and its infrastructure. Candidate will work closely with all stakeholders of the business, including other areas of the Finance department, Front Office, Market Risk, Operations and Technology.
The individual in this role will interact with Senior Management within the Front Office and Finance and will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a strong governance framework, the application of a consistent Product Control process, and driving transformation initiatives.
Excellent communications and negotiation skills are vital. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate an ability to communicate complex ideas concisely and effectively. Stakeholder management at senior levels is vital, and the successful candidate will be expected to develop and leverage a network of business relationships.
The role also involves ensuring the application of consistent Best Practice controls and working with the Senior Product Control Managers across APAC and other regions.
This is a position for an experienced, dynamic, technically strong executive with excellent communication skills and with a proven track record.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Finance industry trends
Contribute to the directional strategy of the Finance function, anticipating the impact to daily work and the business
Evaluate and resolve complex issues and select the best action by weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Experience with digital tools is preferable
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
